SELECTION: All Specialty Services candidates are carefully screened and selected. Our selection process includes contact with prior employers and contacts, driver background checks, as well as in depth personal interviews. We look for qualities such as workmanship, honesty and integrity.
TRAINING: In addition to on-site training conducted by our field supervisors, all employees participate in a video-training program, which includes Restroom Cleaning, Ground rules for Custodians, and Office Cleaning. In order to keep our employees up to date they all receive monthly training bulletins with questions and cash prizes for correct answers. A well-trained and motivated employee is worth the effort
In addition, our employees are thoroughly instructed in the proper use of keys, locked or secured areas, and any special alarm systems in use at your facility
RETENTION BENEFITS: Careful hiring and training is meaningless if our employee turnover is high. Benefits, pay rates, and how we treat our employees are critical to reducing turnover. Health Insurance: Specialty Services offers full-time employees medical and life insurance as an optional item on all contracts. A group dental plan is also available.
PAY RATES: We find by paying our employees more they tend to put more effort and care into their jobs. This is virtually unheard of in the building maintenance industry where the norm is low pay, no benefits, no paid vacations, and consequently, high employee turnover.
